Troubled NATO may get a new member: Macedonia

With President Trump as the leader in NATO for almost 2 years, there has now been an upcoming proposal that another member will join in. Macedonia has declared that they want to be apart of NATO and join alliance with all countries. This has raised concern for Russia, because they had stated firmly they will choose to vote against Macedonia joining. However, many nations have realized that it may be a good idea for Macedonia to join NATO and settle some peace/stable path for the country itself. Macedonia has mentioned that with Trump not having full support behind the country entering, that it will not phase their chances of becoming a NATO nation. Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg from Macedonia, stated "it is our hope that we can be a part of a system that can support the country's stability and development".  I think this becomes a crucial position for the US to decide on whether or not they will side with helping neighbor another NATO member or chose the side of voting against it like Russia plans on doing.
