Georgia's government has put a halt to the cannabis law that would legalize the export of marijuana because of protest led by a powerful Orthodox Church. Fr Andria Jaghmaidize, who spreads the church point of view on media, told BBC that the "LGBT propaganda promotes a drastically liberalised drug policy that contradicts Church teachings". Another reason for the increase of protest on this law is the spread of false information. Ilia II commented on this issue by stating "What is the use of the economy if we lose our children?". This law has the possible for Georgia to earn $384m with in the next two to three years.
