On Saturday night (9/29), Donald Trump informed the public at his rally in West Virginia that he and North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, quite literally "fell in love" during their negotiations. He went on to say that the two leaders had been extremely tough on one another, and their combined recognition of that fact led to the "love" as Trump describes. He even remarked on his invitation to Kim Jong Un to join him in the White House earlier in June, a show of diplomacy that surprised many around the world. This is a part of the ongoing negotiations and attempts to bring down the tension between the two polarized countries, but it seems to early to tell if this is a step in the right direction, or just conjecture from Trump to his base. Either way, the talks in the future with North Korea seem to be positive more than negative, despite the looming terror of nuclear escalation that is closer than anyone would like.
