Due to the US imposing sanctions on China over the recent weeks, China did not allow the USS Wasp to make its scheduled stop in Hong Kong. The article states how this is not the first time something like this has occurred but considering the tension between the two countries lately raises the question of what will happen next? Not only did this cause more tension but it also lead to Being-Jing canceling a meeting between the two naval commanders of the U.S and China.
