This article hits close to home the reason being a lot of the people I know in my community are here on green cards or visas. The idea that the Trump administration is going as far as to deny people on public assistance temporary or permanent status in the United States is sickening. Most illegal immigrants can get high paying jobs and are usually paid under the table Public Assistance is the only thing keeping them afloat. It's unjust to make people choose between surviving and their legal status. Officials in the Trump Administration believe these regulations are necessary to kill immigrants from draining public funds. Ever since Trump step foot into office immigrants all over the country has feared deportation this is just one of Trump's attempts to get voters to reelect not only him but to keep Republicans in control of the house and the Senate. The only problem is this attempt is at the cost of millions of poor immigrants who need public assistance to live.
