Typhoon Pounds South China After Killing 64 in Philippines

This article from the Associated Press was written by Vincent Yu and Jim Gomez.
Severe weather has caused significant damage around the world, especially in these past couple years.  This Typhoon was claimed to be one of the largest storms to hit South China since 1999. Many individuals have died or are missing from the landslides caused by the Typhoon in the Philippines. Although tropical storms can be seen as a more domestic issue, I think it will be interesting to see if and how China will help the Philippines recover. Obviously, China has a stronger economy, but will they provide aid to the near by state if needed? Because relations in the South China Sea are a little tense, I believe it could be telling if China provides help to areas in need.
