In the last half of the century, AQ Khan has been one of the most influential figures in global security. He has been described as "at least as dangerous as Osama bin Laden" by a former CIA director. He has recently died at the age of 85, but he had supplied multiple nuclear weapon designs. He was working at a European company that built centrifuges to enrich uranium. He then would copy the centrifuge designs because enriched uranium is used for nuclear power. After copying the designs he returned home and created a secret network where he was supplied components to make these weapons. He began to work with Iran and North Korea, trading nuclear technology for information on missile technology. America and Britain started to track Khan, and eventually he was put on house arrest for the rest of his life.
