After China flew planes in Taiwan's air space 93 times in a 3 day span, the United States responded to the conflict by stating it is still backing Taiwan. This dynamic between China and Taiwan is very interesting, as both sides view Taiwan in different views. China is exerting its dominance in the area by doing such military actions. Both the United States and Taiwan say the Chinese military action is breaking peace in the region. The United States having a hand in this conflict is interesting in the fact that the United States is dealing with their conflict with China in a way similar to the Cold War. Both countries are indirectly taking opposing viewpoints when it comes to Taiwan. This will be an interesting thing to watch going foward, as the United States and China represent the two largest economies in the world and are two world super powers. The tensions between the countries are increasing as the U.S. has a hand in the Pacific and Asia.
