Some justices are speaking to law students and expressing anger at the way the court is being perceived through this case. The newly appointed Justice Amy Coney Barrett spoke on this, saying that the Supreme Court is not just a group of “political hacks.” It’s been noted that all of the justices are politically affiliated, and the public is questioning the supposed unbiased nature of the Supreme Court. There are growing concerns over the Supreme Court becoming too political, as all current Justices have been appointed by a president of their same political party. In the past, there was often a difference in political opinion between the president and appointee because the Supreme Court was designed to be nonpolitical.
