On Saturday, there was a record amount of people crossing the border between Poland and Belarus. There were 739 attempted crossings between the two countries. Over the past couple of months, the number of these attempted crossings has only gone up, with there being 5,000 in October already. As the seasons begin to change, these crossings only become more dangerous. This increase in border crossings is the result of ever-changing dynamics in the middle east, specifically Iraq and Afghanistan. Polish officials accuse Belarus of encouraging refugees to cross the border in order to put pressure on the bloc over the sanctions it put over the Misk.
