In this article the author discusses how ALL of Chile's bishops have offered their resignation after hushed sexual abuse scandals. This will be the first time in history that a "conference" of bishops to offer their resignation as a result of allegations of abuse. Pope Francis stated that the bishops were not the only ones responsible for the hushed corruption. He suggested that the Chilean government did nothing to resolve the issue and even went as far as suggesting the destruction of evidence. Pope Francis is saddened as this gives the Catholic church a bad name. It is up to him to decide their fate.
