"Israeli Warplanes Hit Dozens of Iranian Targets in Syria" Post by Kostantina Taseva

This article focuses on the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel by focusing on the recent events. More specifically, last night in Israeli warplanes hit dozens of Israelian targets positioned in Syria. On the other hand, the author points out that the two countries have been taking advantage of the civil war in Syria so that they can deal with the ongoing issues between them. The main reason for this, according to the author is the fact that President Trump withdrew The U.S. from the nuclear deal with Tehran which inevitably led to a tension between several states in the Middle East. As a result of teh strikes 23 people were killed. The act of violence and the tension between the two states were not left without notice on the international level, where other states like Russia and Great Britan called "for calm" (Kershner). The author concludes the article by pointing out the interesting fact that the Israeli efforts against Iran are more focused on its assets in Syria.
