This article details the recent re-election of President Maduro in Venezuela. As it is widely known, Venezuela has been in economic crisis, and people can not understand why he has been re-elected with his recent rack history. Because of frustration with the government, many citizens decided to boycott the election, leaving the voter turnout to a lack-luster 46%. The United States has decided not to recognize the election as legitimate. The election has been viewed as fixed and unfair. His re-election especially does not make sense because inflation is expected to hit an astounding 13,000% in 2018.
It just does not seem like things will get any better with there being no sign of change in this reason. Hopefully Maduro is able to figure something out, otherwise it could be anarchy for the oil-reach state in South America.
