Explosion at Afghan mosque used as voter registration centre kills 12, wounds 33

A shocking event that happened yesterday, a bomb blast had gone off inside a mosque in eastern Afghanistan that was being used as a voter registration center that killed at least 12 people and wounded 33. While there has not been any definitive suspect named, the Taliban and a local Islamic State affiliate have shown that they do not like democratic elections and could be prime suspects. This bombing comes at a very unfortunate time due to the sheer number of attacks that have been reported since the year has started, leading to the Afghan troops being further exhausted and using more of the resources than they have available to them, meaning without further aide, the attacks could continue, leaving the citizens of Afghanistan in a fright.
