In the region of Xinjiang, China, roughly 100,000 Muslims are being held in camps. A director of a sector of these camps said that these are to contain terrorism and "If we leave the terrorism thoughts to be developed, it is very easy to have riots or other issues". The Chinese allowed a look into 3 different facilities, which contained class rooms and living dormitories with little furnishings and personal possessions. The three ways individuals are said to end up in these centers is committing a minor offense like wearing a burqa, those who got the choice to go to a detention center or prison, or those who just got out of prison for rehabilitation. Numerous world groups are looking into these camps for human rights reasons.
