"Gordon Sondland: US envoy skips Trump impeachment inquiry"

Gordon Sondland was scheduled to meet with staff from three Democratic-led house committees. The committee chairmen vowed to issue a legal summons to Mr. Sondland. The Democratic-led inquiry is trying to establish whether or not Trump withheld nearly 400 million dollars in an effort to nudge Ukraine's president to launch an inquiry into Mr. Biden. "In a phone call on July 25, Trump asked newly elected Volodymyr Zelensky to scrutinise Biden," who is a leading Democratic contender for the next presidential election. This is a very important topic that might go down as a very historic event in American political history depending on the outcome of the investigation. This all started when a whistleblower raised concerns about the phone call. This escalated into a formal impeachment investigation last month and has been developing ever since.
