Syrian army to deploy along Turkey border as US orders pullback

The aftermath of Trump's decision to withdraw U.S forces from Syria and along the region is starting to be felt as Syrian government troops will deploy with Turkey to help Kurdish fighters fend off Ankara's attack in Northern Syria. This statement was made public by the Kurds through a facebook post. This article later goes on to say that this move is a sign of Assad redeveloping strength in that region which increases the possibility of a Syrian-Turkey conflict. Also, the reason for the U.S leaving the area, which the article quotes from Sec Dec Mark Esper, is that our government did not want to get caught in the middle of two military's advancing on each other. The more I read about Syria, the more confused I get with all of the moving pieces and agreements between rebel-allies, Assad, Kurds, Turkey, etc. The conclusion I can make, both from this article and from the United States decision to leave is that it has thrown that area up for grabs, and multiple groups are making a stab at it.
