Truck driver makes 1st court appearance over Essex deaths

Maurice ‘Mo’ Robinson, a truck driver, appeared in court through video on Monday because he was charged with the manslaughter of 39 people who were found deceased in a trailer outside London last week. He’s a 25 year old from Craigavon, Northern Ireland and will appear once again in court on November 25th for his crimes. He was quickly arrested after the bodies of the deceased were found in an industrial park in Grays, Essex on October 23rd. On Saturday he was also charged for the conspiracy to traffic people, conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration, and money laundering as well. Then in court crown prosecutor Oghenerouna Iguyovwe stated that Maurice Robinson is actually a part of a global ring to facilitate illegal immigration into the UK. And at least some of the deceased found in the trailer could be missing individuals in the Vietnamese community although it is not known for certain just yet. The Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford Essex now has the bodies of the deceased in their care to start figuring out what happened to them. Lastly three other people were arrested in connection with the investigation but have been released on bail according to the Essex police.
