US troops leaving Syria will go to Iraq, says Pentagon chief
Secretary of Defense Mark Esper said that all of the troops leaving Syria will be relocated to Iraq. The reason for the relocation is "to help stop the resurgence of Islamic State." They are there to defend Iraq from the Islamic State. After President Trump announced the troops were leaving, Turkey decided to begin an offensive.
