Nigerian neurosurgeon takes pay cut to perform free operations

Dr. Olawale is a professor in New Orleans and specializes in neuroscience and spinal surgery. He is from Nigeria so de dedicates half his time helping people from his home country and the United States.  One of his former patient, Arah, knew Dr. Olawale for 15 years and started getting sever back pain. She told CNN that her pain was unbearable and could not walk or stand straight. Later on, Dr. Olawale and his team decided that she needed a laminectomy which is the removal of the lamina to ease pressure on the spinal cord and nerve roots. DR. Olawale decide to talk to a non profit organization to help Arah receive this surgery for free. Doc later on states that he believes that happiness does not come from what you get, rather, it comes from what you give. He also says that there is always room to give; you doing need to be a millionaire to do so.
