This Sunday, police in China use harsh tactics such as tear gas as tensions rise between protesters and police

After four months of long anti-government rallies in Hong Kong the police use heavy handed tactics including tear gas, rubber bullets, pepper spray, and water canons against protesters. These protesters are fighting for the rights of Hong Kong to be an independent democratic part of China and have their own fair trials without having to go to mainland China for them. The police claim they are the ones who are victims to violence such as hurled bricks and firebombs. As tensions rise, one protester went as far as slashing a policeman with a knife. This Sunday, protesters went as far as throwing umbrellas at the police and they responded in releasing tear gas.
