Egypt has a large issue on their hands, which includes a gargantuan container ship that has blocked world trade by getting stuck aslant the Suez Canal. The ship has been there for five days now, the Suez Canal is a very important connection to the Port Said on the Mediterranean Sea to the Indian Ocean via the Egyptian city of Suez on the Red Sea. The passage enables more direct shipping between Europe and Asia, eliminating the need to circumnavigate Africa and cutting voyage times by days or weeks. In order to clear the ship, they would need to clear other vessels from the area that the ship is stuck in. But with this issue, it seems after they would be able to move the ship future ships will have a hard time moving along. The estimate for the ship to break through is Monday, shipping experts and government officials said the wind could well have been a factor, but they claim that the problem resulted into human play.
