A metropolitan police officer has been charged for the kidnapping and murder of Sarah Everard. Her body was found in the outskirts of her local town mangled to the point it took days for her body to be identified. Video footage showed Sarah was leaving work late one night and the family noticed she was missing when she didn’t make it home from work. The impact her death has on the world represents the lack of safety women feel when alone in public. The fact that the killer was a police officer shows how easily the things that are supposed to trust in the most can go corrupt. Women around the world are protesting and hollering about Sarah's death because they all are unifying on the fear of their own safety. This is a problem in all countries and those who have the most power in making a change are within the political and legal systems.
