Given the United States and North Korea's history, King Yo-jong's message to the United States on Tuesday did not come as a surprise. North Korea's first commentary towards the US under the Biden Administration was typical of North Korea, with threatening undertones. The Biden Administration doesn't necessarily have a fully developed plan on how America will deal with North Korea in the next four years, but Kim Yo-jong has warned us to tread carefully. With the hatred North Korea has for the United States, they are ready for war at anytime. Biden has seemingly looked to avoid this, as would any logical president, a nuclear war between the US and North Korea would be detrimental. North Korea speaking out stemmed from the plans for US and South Korea meetings to occur this week, and discussions on handling North Korea will certainly be occurring.
