Today Israelis are headed to the general election polls for the fourth time in only two years. The author describes the Israeli citizens as growing weary, as they are unsure this vote will bring about any change similarly to the last three general elections. The current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has finished comfortably on top of the polls and is Israel's longest serving Prime Minister (15 years). Netanyahu has faced critisism on how he handled the corona virus pandemic and many say he struggled to find the balance between public safety and the economic demands of Israel. However, they are emerging strong from this pandemic due to the vaccination efforts being taken. Netanyahu is also under investigation for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust charges which he insists is a "media-led witch hunt" based on anti semitism and the inability for anyone to beat him in the polls.
