In a recent turn of vents there have been a few states and regions that have noticed the dropping number of Coronavirus cases along with the number of vaccinations being done on a daily and weekly basis. This has caused some state and local governments to lift their strict mask mandates which has created cause for concern. With all of the vigilant work of health care workers as well as American's to limit the spread of disease could prove to be for not as health care officials warn that lifting these mandates too soon could prove costly. It is especially nerving to understand that these states include many southern states which are the hot spots for both the virus as well as for spring breakers across the country. A few months prior to this, the state of Texas lifted their mask mandate as they saw cases decrease, only to see them rise again with the restrictions lifted. Personal freedoms are beginning to once again take precedent over the health of people across the country and this needs to be stopped before the country ends up back at square one.
