Miami has been a controversial city since the start of Covid-19, due to them caring very little about the virus. Therefore, a state of emergency has been declared in Miami Beach due to concerns of large crowds gathering for spring break. This, then poses a risk of coronavirus spreading. A curfew of 8 pm- 6 am has been announced and will remain in effect till at least April 12th. Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber went on to say that that thousands of tourists had brought "chaos and disorder" to the city. Since the curfew took effect on Sunday, Miami Beach Police told CNN, they had arrested at least a dozen people.
