Covid-19: Mexico revises coronavirus death toll up by 60%

Mexico has revised the numbers and it indicates that the number of deaths caused by coronavirus is 60% higher than previously reported. So, it suggest that more than 321,000 people are now believed to have died from Covid-19. Therefore, once the numbers were revised it placed Mexico with the second highest number of Covid-related deaths in the world. Experts have warned that Mexico's true death toll is probably much due to a lack of testing. Also, its believed that a shortage of intensive care beds in many states has led to a large number of people dying at home. Mexico's vaccination programme has seen about 6.1 million doses given out so far. Just recently, the US announced that it would release of the AstraZeneca vaccine to Mexico and Canada.
