The Suez Canal is still shaking the waters. So far, dredgers have tried to clear silt around the ship, and tugboats have tried to pull it free, an excavator from shore dug into the canal’s banks, but no luck on getting it lose so far. This proves problematic because there is a jam of 206 large container ships on either side of Evergiven, one of the worst shipping jams in years. COVID is already restricting world trade and making it slower, so this jam is making it worse.
