According to TheHindu.com, Russia and Belarus have extended military training that were set to expire on Sunday, according to the Belarus Defence Minister, adding to the pressure on Ukraine as Western officials warn of an impending Russian invasion. The option to prolong the training was made in response to military activities near Russia's and Belarus's borders, as well as an aggravation of the situation in eastern Ukraine's Donbass area, according to a statement from Belarus' defense ministry. Russia has up to 30,000 troops in Belarus, according to NATO, and may deploy them as part of an invasion force to strike Ukraine, which is to Belarus' south. Moscow denies having such plans.
