BBC just reported today that several workers have been laid off at Starbucks in Tenseness after holding a union meeting after hours. The workers were fired for violating after hours policy by holding their meting. After being fired from Starbucks the workers filed cases against Starbucks at the National Labor Relation Board. The workers are still working toward unionizing Starbuck. In 1988 Buffalo was the first Starbucks to unionize, but unfortunately unionization is not a choice for all Starbucks workers. Throughout this year several worker at Starbucks have been laid off when they posed the idea of a union to Starbuck.
