The death of Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi

Isis leader, Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi, was killed February 3, 2022. U.S officials raided Syria which lead up the the leaders death by him detonating an explosion that killed himself, his wife, and children. A few others were killed in from the explosion including the ISIS lieutenant and his wife and a few other residentsMilitary was concerned after that al-Quarayshi not only was wearing a suicide vest, but also rigged the floor with explosives as well.

But what does this mean for the ISIS terrorist group? Just because their leader is gone, doesn't mean the fight against ISIS is over. "Their twisted ideology and their intent to kill, maim and terrorize still threaten our national security and the lives of countless innocents" (CBS News).
