133 Killed in India From Toxic Moonshine

After consuming toxic alcohol, 133 people have died along with more than 200 others who were hospitalized. However, these type of incidents aren't new. For years India has been battling to control illegal alcohol, which is much cheaper and accessible to those who are impoverished. In 2011, a batch of illegal liquor killed 168 people. Even more recently in 2015, over 100 people died from drinking the toxic moonshine. These types of alcohol are often a third of the price of legally brewed liquor, therefore putting those who are poor at a much greater risk.
