ISIS is nearly completely defeated in terms of their holding any land for there caliphate. The United States had troops on the ground and fighter jets forcing the terrorist group to cling to their last piece of land in Syria. The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces said that the war with ISIS would soon be done on the military front. Although it’s hard to determine if ISIS will ever truly be defeated, the United States and the world are inching very close to ending the 4-year military campaign against them. The US also called for Europe to stand up to ISIS and put the “800 ISIS fighters…on trial” and “vowed not to pull troops until after 100 percent victory over the self-declared caliphate.”
