After congress refused to accept Trump's immigration plan, he has since taken the issue in his own hands and has declared national emergency in attempt to gain funding for his border wall. He defines the southern border as a national emergency because to him the "invasion" of people, and drugs is the biggest plague affecting our country. After combining all of the automatic funding from several government institutions, the president would be granted about 8 billion dollars for this project. This decision has raised constitutional questions among the democrats who believe that this declaration is an unlawful abuse of his authority. Consequently, house democrats plan on introducing legislation with intent to block Mr. Trumps move, and proceed by taking his issue to the supreme court.
