Multiple women have stepped forward to explain that the priest has sexually abused and manipulated them. The women explained that they could not and did not see him as a predator. Although they knew the act was wrong and although they rejected him initially, the priest abused his power and authority and coerced these women to have sex with him. The pope has released a statement and has supported the young, abused women.
