President of the United States. He is an independent who runs as a Democrat.
Bernie Sanders is one of the best known names to join the list of Democratic
candidates. Early polls suggest he is far ahead of the other candidates. Bernie’s
ideas for universal government-provided
healthcare, a $15 national minimum wage and free college education attracted
young voters and raised millions of dollars in small donations. These ideas are
now a focus of the Democratic party.
