Nord Stream 2: EU agrees tighter rules for Russian pipeline

The EU has decided that allow the completion of a gas pipeline between Russia and Germany but have made a deal with Germany that brings the pipeline more under EU energy controls. The pipeline is very controversial; the EU has been concerned about reliance on Russian gas for years. Trump has even accused Germany of being a captive of Russia because of the pipeline, but Germany is still backing it and has heavily invested business into it. The pipeline deal may change even further as it now goes off to European Parliament.
