Will Thai King prevent sister from running to be next prime minister?

67 year old Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya of Thailand has announced that she will be running as the prime ministerial candidate for the Thai Raksa Chart Party. People are in opposition, shockingly not because she is a woman but because she is a member of the royal family. This is completely against royal traditions and norms. Her brother King Maha Vajiralongkorn is denouncing this due to the candidacy of a close member of the royal family being unprecedented since the total monarchy ended over 80 years ago. Whether or not Ubolratana's candidacy continues depends on if the Electoral Commission decides to keep her on the ballot which is a tough decision as Thai law states that once your name is submitted, it cannot be removed.
