Venezuela Opposition Leader Welcomes Foreign Aid

Venezuelan opposition leader and self-declared interim president, Juan Guaidó said he is welcoming foreign aid as the humanitarian crisis grows. This move is in defiance of the sitting president, Nicolás Maduro and his regime, who have set up military blockades along the border barring aid from entering. One government official called Guaidó’s move a trojan horse. Millions of Venezuelan citizens have fled to neighboring countries which is where Guaidó plans to direct the international aid which will include food and medicine.
