The middle east is responsible for what has happened to Khashoggi. We (the US) know this to be true, however we steadily deny it or look further into it. Depending on where you look, the US has a decent, cordial relationship with certain parts of the middle east. The Trump Administration intends on keeping it this way. However, these politicians in the middle east need to be held accountable for their actions. What they have done in the past has gone against American ideals and what we believe in. It is a contradictory to not pursue the investigation of Khashoggi's murder to maintain the peace.
