The United States has decided to suspend the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty with Russia due to Russia's incapability to uphold the terms of the treaty. The United States has been loyal and remained within the terms of the IRN for over 30 years and this newfound suspension marks the start of the 180 day clock for Russia. This 180 day clock gives Russia time to comply with the IRN terms before the withdrawal is complete. Russia is the only other country in the treaty and the U.S has been more than lenient with Russia considering her almost total disregard for the treaty. President Trump is open to negotiations for a new treaty but acknowledges that both countries must be faithful in the agreement for a one sided treaty, with only two parties, is no treaty as all.
