President Trump announced that he plans to keep troops in Iraq. this plan will have these troops monitoring Iran and fighting ISIS. President Trump wants to keep a close watch on Iran Syria and Afghanistan as troops start to pull out. This comes after the US and Iraq were closely talking about moving some troops already deployed in Syria to shift to Iraq. But with these new comments from President Trump top American officials fear Iraq might undercut the deal. People also fear that bringing in more Troops to Iraq will bring fear and distrust of American troops and government from Iraq citizens. American officials were also in Iraq this week touring American bases specifically those close to the Syrian border for the expansion of troops. As for the troops who were slated to pull out of Syria no movement for them yet the only American military movement out of Syria was equipment.
