China and US pledge climate change commitment

The US and China have come together to begin discussing climate change and their plans for the future to reduce emissions aimed at keeping the Paris agreement aligned temperature limit within reach. Within these plans between China and the US there is also talk about both nations helping developing counties as well to switch to low carbon energy. It was pointed out during these meetings that China and the US do not agree on certain issues, however, they agree of that on climate change and are determined to take scientist warnings of global heating needing to be below 2C above pre-industrial levels, with high hopes of reaching the 1.5C mark.

This to me seems a step in the right direction because with the previous President there was a complete disregard on the clearly evident issue entirely. Now there is hopefully some action being taken by 2 of the countries that have some of the largest industries that are causing major part of the issue. With this I hope we can make a drastic change with two large nations and have the rest follow in the future.
