Japan calls on China to Improve Conditions for Uyghurs, Hong Kong

China has set up concentration camps for the Uyghur muslims in their territory, it has continued to suppress the protesters in Hong Kong as well as having a military naval presence in the East China Sea islands that Japan controls. With multiple accounts of expansion of power over other nations and people, the foreign minister of Japan, Toshimitsu Motegi, has called on China to improve the conditions of its Uyghur population, stop its suppression of Hong Kong as well as raise concerns of the Chinese presence in Japanese island territories. So far, China has denied allegations of human rights issues, says that the Hong Kong is not an international matter as well as promoting the idea that they have the right to patrol the East China Sea waters and its islands. The Communist Chinese military has continued to deny any efforts of expansion but seems to be acting in a different manner. The Japanese government is trying to work with the Biden administration to build a consensus over its approach of China. The rising power of China holds a concern for all nations in Asia as well as any trade partners and allies to these states that could be controlled by the region's hegemon, China.
