In effort to bring down emissions and make a cleaner environment, France is planning to ban all of their domestic flights and favor train services instead. As a part of a wider-climate bill, MP's voted late Saturday evening in favor of eliminating certain flights that can be completed in less than two and a half hours by train. If passed, France will be one of many European countries to take part in this trend. The Transport minister is of course getting some negative feedback because of this, and people are saying that he is listening too much to his environmental panel, and that proposals are being 'watered down'. "Citizens often choose the most robust option of travel when it is offered" says Transport Minister Jean-Baptiste Djebbari.
