The Indonesian navy submarine that sank off the coast of Bali this past Wednesday has been found split into three pieces on the sea bed, according to officials. All the 53 crew inside the vessel have been confirmed dead. The Navy officials said they had been receiving signals from the sub's location more than 2600ft deep early on Sunday. This vessel had disappeared after requesting permission to dive during a torpedo drill, but the reason is unknown for its sinking. This vessel was German built and it was more than 40 years old, but it underwent a refit in 2012. This disappearance was significant because it led to an international search operation with the US, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, and India providing help.
