Raul Castro, the brother of Fidel Castro has announced he is stepping down as Head of Cuba Communist party. Fidel will officially step down on Monday. Raul approaching the age of 90 is stepping down so younger leadership may take the role of leading Cuba. The change of leadership is needed as Cuba faces a economic crisis and the change in leadership is expected to lead to freer markets. Raul has already handpicked a successor in Diaz-Canel so communism is not going away anytime soon.
