BBC News reported on the tragic death of Prince Phillip and the plans for his funeral later this week. The article detailed the times, route, and schedule for the funeral as the days pass through the week. He will lie in rest privately at Windsor Castle until the day of his funeral, which is uncommon for British royalty. In the past, their coffins are normally accessible to the public to pay their respects and be able to attend the funeral procession; however, Covid has limited the number of people who are allowed to be there. Prince Harry will attend and it is unknown who else will be in attendance due to the limit of 30 people allowed at funerals in Britain currently. Union jacks (including those on royal buildings) and national flags will remain at half-mast and the royal family will observe 2 weeks of mourning. The public has been asked to pay their respects through donations to charity and an online book of condolence, but some citizens have been placing flowers, cards, and tributes outside the palace and at Windsor Castle.
