Egypt mummies pass through Cairo in ancient rulers' parade

In Egypt there was a historic procession of their country's ancient rulers through the capital of Cairo. In hopes to revive the tourism in Egypt’s which is the country's prime source of revenue, they have decided to relocate 22 mummies consisting of 18 kings and four queens to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, known as The Pharos Golden Parade. The transfer of the mummies was "fit for royalty" by having each mummy carried on a decorated vehicle fitted with special shock-absorbers and surrounded by a motorcade, including replica horse-drawn war chariots. However, there is speculation that the relocating of the bodies could worsen the superstitious "curse of the Pharos" which entails that the high rate of misfortunes in Egypt are due to the curse. In 1980, President Anwar Sadat ordered the Royal Mummy Room at the Egyptian Museum closed, arguing that it desecrated the dead. He wanted the mummies to be reburied instead, though he did not get his wish.
